Founded in 2014 in London, A Taste of Decadence by Louise specialises in the most opulent and dramatic wedding cakes on the market in Portugal.
I pride myself on my finely detailed work and application of designs. All of my beautiful sugar flowers are handmade and every detail is captured beautifully. I love to tailor a design to reflect your individual personality and event styling.
After your guests have admired the look of the cake, they should not be disappointed by the taste! My cakes are layered and masked in delicious Belgian chocolate ganache and perfectly shaped to allow me to keep the fondant ultra-thin and achieve my tailored corners and lines. You can combine any of my cake and filling flavours to suit your own taste and menu.
Louise has extensive experience in the 5* food industry and over the years has worked in several prestigious restaurants including London restaurants The Lanesborough Hotel, Gordon Ramsay at Claridge’s and Michelin Star restaurant, Chapter One. Louise attended Westminster Kingsway College qualifying as a chef at the age of 17.
Louise’s attention to detail and extensive industry experience means you can trust your cake will look even better than you imagined on your big day.
The Cake Shop
The Cake Shop – Despite my academic background in Environmental Engineering, it was in the kitchen that I’ve always felt a huge passion. I always saw the kitchen as a hobby and not as a profession, a hobby for the free time or a way to relieve stress.
“Change your life if you don’t live satisfied” – that’s what I did! At the age of 25 I’ve decided to turn a hobby into a full-time profession. I dove into a world full of aromas and flavours. In order to improve my skills I’ve looked for work in restaurants where I learned a lot of techniques and got a lot of experience. I invested my time and money on courses and workshops so that this amateur Cook gained more and more experience.
Pastry and cake design are an important part of my life. They are the tools that allowed me to make the lives of all my customers a little sweeter.
I always try to put the finest ingredients in all my cooking because the flavor of all my cakes has to match the artistic decorations from the outside. But one thing is certain: regardless of the requested flavor for the client, there is one ingredient that I put in all my cakes: Love
I’m the one who can say: I fall in love for what I do every day!
